MBA defeats Brentwood Academy 35-34

The MBA wrestling team defeated Brentwood Academy in dramatic form last night 35-34.  With the Big Red trailing by 4 points going into the final match of the night, sophomore Connor Griffin defeated his opponent 21-6 earning his team 5 team points for the technical fall.  Winners on the night for the Big Red were Ryan Owen with a pin, Casey Ortale getting a forfeit, Daniel Bellet with a decision, Connor Griffin getting a technical fall, John Mark Bellet with a decision, Mark Simpson with a fall and Ian Sharbel with a fall.  Freshmen heavy weight Jay Robertson had the most exciting match of the night as he lost a close match to the veteran BA wrestler 11-9.  Up next for the wrestlers will be the Briarcrest Duals this weekend.
