MBA loses a close match to Ryan in the consolation semi's

The Big Red opened the day with a sound victory over Briarcrest Christian in the 1st round of the consolations.  Next up for the Big Red in the consolation semi-finals was rival Father Ryan.  MBA wrestlers fought very hard in this match to revenge the loss from last week at Ryan.  The match went back and forth with the outcome of the match coming down to the last match of the night.  With MBA down by 3 points at the time, MBA wrestler Frank Vest had to win by a major decision or better for the Big Red to win the dual and advance into the consolation finals.  The team fell a little short of their goal, but the team really wrestled well losing a close match to Ryan 32-26.
The MBA wrestlers will now begin preparation for the State Individuals.
