MBA Wins Home Opener

MBA earned a solid victory in the home opener of the 2014 campaign with a 42-6 win over Hamilton High School from Memphis. Offensive balance was a key for the Big Red victory as they amassed 175 yards rushing and 130 yards passing. The rushing attack was led by seniors Derrick Tusie and Michael Lacey along with sophomore Ty Chandler who rushed for two touchdowns. MBA captain quarterback Cole Euverard was perfect through the air as he connected for two touchdowns to fellow senior captain Austin Rolfe. For the second straight week, the defense scored a touchdown as senior Luke Bullock returned a fumble caused by junior Karlton Bruton for a 35 yard touchdown to punctuate another great night for the Big Red defense. 

MBA improves to 2-0 on the season and will travel to Baylor High School in Chattanooga next week.
