Hooch Results for Lightweight Crew

The Varsity Lightweight 8 took to the water in the first event of the day at the Head of the Hooch regatta.  Unfortunately, all races were cancelled on Saturday due to extreme wind and cold temperatures.  Therefore, the Varsity and Novice 8s did not compete at the Hooch this year.

The Lightweights raced a strong race in very competitive field.  In the end, they placed 17th of 30 boats with at time of 17:08.0.  Six scholastic programs were represented in their race with a total of 12 scholastic boats in the race.  The Lightweight 8 ranked 5th of the 12 scholastice boats.

The scholastic programs included: Belen Jesuit Prep School, Plant High School, Winter Park High School and Lake Brantley High School - all from Flordia as well as Jesuit College Prep of Dallas and Montgomery Bell Academy.

The team heads to Augusta, GA to compete in the Head of the South Regatta in Saturday November 8th to wrap the fall racing season.
