Twenty-three Big Red shooters took a few hours off from studying for final exams and made the trip to Big Springs to compete against some of the best teams in the state on Saturday. Rainy weather was prevalent throughout the match, and the team did well despite shooting in less than ideal conditions. Squad V1 shot a 431, Squad V2 shot a 428, Squad V3 shot a 426, and Squad JV1 shot a 419. MBA V1 finished 15th, MBA V2 finished 16th, and MBA V3 finished 18th out of 26 Varsity squads. MBA JV1 finished 7th out of 13 JV squads. Three JV shooters also did well shooting as alternates with two Hume-Fogg shooters. Congratulations to junior Russell McGinn, who turned in the team's high score of the match with a 92! Brodie Poe, Russell McGinn, Tanner Noonan, and Magnus Campos all shot perfect rounds in this competitive meet. The team will compete in the TNSCTP Region 2 Championship at the Montgomery County Shooting Complex on Saturday, May 30th. Roll Red!
