Mock Trial Places 4th in Nation

The 2017 MBA Mock Trial team competed against 45 other state and regional champions in the National High School Mock Trial Championship held in Hartford, Connecticut on May 12-13, 2017. The team placed fourth overall in the Championship with a record of 3-1, winning against teams from Kentucky, Wisconsin, and California and dropping a close match against a team from Georgia. Team members were seniors Andrew Kaplan, John Cooper, and John Fioravanti; juniors Daniel Cowan and Jack Capizzi, and freshmen Aden Barton, Matthew Kaplan, and Zach Brown. The team was coached by Nashville attorney and MBA parent Wade Cowan '74, Vanderbilt Law professor, MBA parent Kirsten Hildebrand, and MBA faculty member Michael Stewart.
