Jaron Leasure Shoots Record Round to Win State Golf Title

Senior Jaron Leasure carded a 62 in the final day of the TSSAA state golf tournament to win the individual title yesterday. Leasure recorded 10 birdies and 0 bogeys to set the state record for lowest round by one stroke in the state finals. His two-day total of 12-under par won the individual title by a whopping 9 strokes.

Sophomore Bradford Cummins finished 2-under par for the tournament in a tie for 3rd place overall. MBA's team fought hard on the back nine yesterday but finished runner-up for the team title by only 2 strokes.

Leasure will be continuing his golf career next year at the University of Virginia.
