MBA Mathcounts Team Excels
The results of this year's Mathcounts Chapter Competition were posted last night. For a Mathcounts student to qualify for the Chapter Invitational this year, he or she needed to be the top finisher in his or her school or to be in the top 20% in the Chapter. Four students from MBA qualified for the Chapter Invitational by scoring in the top 20% in the Greater Nashville Chapter, David Ni, Eric Chen, William Peng, and Claiborne Tompkins. David Ni placed first in Greater Nashville by scoring 45 out of 46 on the test. Eric Chen placed second in Greater Nashville by scoring 44 out of 46 on the test.

The Chapter Invitational will be held on the evening of February 25th. William Peng won the Chapter Contest last year before the rest of the contest was cancelled because of Covid. If all four of these young men continue to work hard, this group has the potential to do well at the Chapter Invitational and beyond.
