While the overcast skies made it a little chilly for an afternoon stroll, the conditions at Warner Park this afternoon were near ideal for distance racing. Both the varsity and JV teams took first place in their races this afternoon. The varsity guys did not have their best day, with none of the seven runners posting a personal best for the season; nevertheless, the harriers still managed to fend off a BA team that had its best day of the season so far. The five scorers finished within a twenty-three second span and took five of the top nine spots to secure the win over the other fourteen teams in the field.

In the JV race, MBA took seven of the top ten spots, including freshman Wynn Humphries in first place, to win in dominating fashion. If you teach Mack Pearson, congratulate him on his work and improvement this season: today he finished the 5k (3.1 miles) in 20:39; on August 2, he ran 20:32 in a two mile time trial!
