Big Red Gets First Win of the Season

The Big Red defeated Lipscomb Academy at home on Thursday night by a score of 52-42. All ten players who dressed made contributions as the Big Red scored on the opening possession and never trailed, with the lead reaching 13 in the third quarter. Lipscomb was able to rally in the fourth, closing to within 4 with possession of the ball. But after a Big Red stop, James Ory secured an offensive rebound and kicked out to Caleb LeMarbre, who drained a three to push the lead back to 7. After a Lipscomb turnover, the Big Red pushed it back to 9, effectively ending the comeback bid by the visiting Mustangs. Caleb LeMarbre led the way with 18 points, while Landan Left in an all-around solid effort had 12 points. Warner Hart added 7, and Bobby Moss hit two triples, including a key one late, to tally 6 points. 

The Big Red are off until after the new year.
