Big Red Downed by Ensworth
The Big Red freshman team dropped a road contest to Ensworth 75-51. The size and athleticism of the homestanding Tigers got the best of the Big Red early, but from the midpoint of the first quarter until deep into the fourth, the visitors were able to play Ensworth to draw, including outscoring the Tigers in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
Caleb LeMarbre led the scoring with 10 points, but Warner Hart, Landan Left, and Andres Dillon all added 9 points. JP Newman provided some much needed offense during a difficult first quarter, chipping in 5. James Ory played his best defensive game of the year, limiting the effectiveness of the huge Ensworth frontline.
The Big Red are back at it on Wednesday, when we travel to Lawson High School for an out of league matchup. Tip off is at 6.
