Sarah Haverstick began as an assistant coach on the MBA Crew team in the fall of 2011. Originally from Florida, Sarah rowed competitively in the lightweight varsity 4+ at Lake Brantley High School for four years. Winning the state championship regatta with this boat in 1998 and twice competing at the Scholastic Nationals regatta. She also served as the men’s team varsity coxswain in her senior year, coxing that boat in the Scholastic Nationals regatta. Sarah coached in a Learn to Row program every summer and became a coxswain for the Orlando Rowing Club, coxing a boat at the Master’s Nationals competition in 1999. Currently, Sarah is the Safe Children Program Manager for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. She is a certified Child Passenger Safety Technician Instructor and an instructor in Special Needs Transportation. She holds positions on numerous local and state boards, as well as the National Child Passenger Safety Board. Sarah received her bachelor’s in Political Science from Rutgers University.
Trey Tally is a Nashville native and an MBA alumnus. He rowed at Tulane University, where he participated in the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships, the Marathon Rowing Championship in Natchitoches, LA, and rowed twice in a boat that won first place in the Louisiana State Championships. He attended law school at the University of Tennessee and is a licensed attorney. In addition to assisting with the crew team, Trey is a Trust Advisor with Regions Bank.
