MBA Debate Wins Own Billy Tate Southern Bell Forum

Fifty of the best teams in the country descended on the Hill this past weekend for the 36th annual Billy Tate Southern Bell Forum. MBA was proud to host so many of the country's best debaters and coaches in a spirited and respectful debate. The tournament started with an inspirational message from Mr. Gioia about the value of debate, a eulogy for alum Raja Gaddipati (99'), and a musical performance by former MBA debate coach, and Grammy nominated fiddle player Christian Sedelmyer and band mate Dave Goldenberg.

For the first time in the history of the tournament, MBA won the Southern Bell. The team of Ben Jablonski and Aden Barton bested the very talented tournament pool, finishing a perfect 18-0 in ballots, and being awarded first and second speaker out of the hundred debaters at the tournament. We know Billy and Raja would be proud.
