MBA defeat Overton 2-1

The Big Red came out 2-1 winners over a spirited Overton. Andrew Fletcher fired the boys into the lead when he finished superbly following a great pass from Houston Oldham. Despite dominating the entire first half, MBA could not add to their lead with the Overton goalkeeper making some big saves and Turner Henderson cracking the post with a great shot from the edge of the box. The boys continued to dominate the second half and it was no surprise when Houston Oldham scored the second goal of the night to put the big red 2-0 up. He later headed against the bar following a corner from Robbie Alsentzer. Matt Wieck, Jonathan Haynes and Andrew Fletcher all had chances to increase the lead. However at the other end, MBA keeper Alex Blanton was forced into a flying save before Overton scored right at the end of the game. Best for the boys were Michael Nunan, Max Jarrell, Brandon Dockery and Houston Oldham.
