Lecture Series Kicked Off With a Big Bang
Noted Caltech Professor of Planetary Astronomy, Michael E. Brown, launched the first of this year’s MBA’s Lecture Series. On September 12, a large crowd gathered in Pfeffer to hear Dr. Brown discuss “Why I Killed Pluto and Why It Deserved It.”
Dr. Brown’s extensive knowledge and engaging wit helped us earthlings understand that Dwarf planets like Pluto aren't actually planets and that poor Pluto should lose its description as the 9th planet - the designation it held for more than 70 years. MBA students, parents and the community enjoyed learning from this award-winning scholar.
