Wake Forest Early Bird Tournament

MBA won First Place Sweepstakes at the Wake Forest Earlybird Debate and Forensics Tournament over the weekend among the 45 schools competing for excellence in both debate and individual speech events combined.
 
Contributing to the victory were the following:

• 2nd place Lincoln-Douglas Debate among 144 teams by Corey Metzman
• 2nd place JV policy debate by Hershel Mehta and Wesley Wilson (35 teams competing)
• semifinals in varsity policy debate by Robert Awh and Andrew Snow (90 teams competing)
• elimination rounds in policy varsity also by Micah Lutkowitz and Mason Braswell and also the
• team of Sam Page and Rahul Sastry

In speech events:

• 4th place extemporaneous speaking Aaron Lutkowitz (55 contestants)
• semifinals extemporaneous speaking --John Moynihan
• semifinals impromptu speaking--Max Webster
• first place extemporaneous speaking--Max Webster
