Big Red Defense Shines

The Big Red JV Football Team overwhelmed Franklin High by a score of 14-6.  After a little bit of a sluggish start on offense, the Big Red fired a touchdown strike from Van East to Jordan Herring.  Ben Coode added the two-point conversion on a pass from East.  The defense absolutely hammered the Rebels all night long.  Franklin never got anything going on offense largely due to the front seven of the Big Red D.  Connor Caldwell, Sam Berklacich, Morgan Cram and Tyler Cauble completely shut down the Rebel running game.  The second half belonged to the MBA running game led by the sound blocking of Connor Shope and Cole Doster.  Alex Hunt, Ben Coode and Aldon Boston-Boyd methodically pushed the ball down the field.  This running attack not only killed the clock, but also the Rebel spirit.  George Curtis capped off one of these drives with a hard-nosed touchdown run.  The Big Red looks forward to the next contest versus Smyrna.
