Shakespearathon 2010

Thursday, April 1st, MBA held its Second Annual Shakespearathon. The theater troupes from MBA and Harpeth Hall performed staged readings of many of the bard’s works continuously for 24 hours (7 a.m. to 7 a.m.). Each participant pursued pledges from friends, family, and teachers that will go to support the Nashville Shakespeare Festival and Tennessee Repertory Theater. The actors performed more than 11 plays. Twenty-four hard-core thespians lasted from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. At dawn, everyone went outside and read sonnets on the quad as the sun rose. Afterwards, everyone retired to Pancake Pantry to celebrate and then headed home for much deserved rest. If you are still interested in making a donation, talk to Dr. Fuller or Matt Moynihan.
