MBA qualified an unprecedented six students for the National Forensics League Nationals in Kansas City in June. With the longest season of any team or club at MBA, beginning in August and running through the end of June, Seniors Campbell Haynes, Aaron Lutkowitz, and Hershel Mehta represented the Big Red along with Junior Partha Reddy and Sophomores Karthik Sastry and Will Stewart. Campbell Haynes and Hershel Mehta reached the elimination rounds in policy debate, finally succumbing to eventual tournament runner-up Rowland Hall-St. Mark’s of Utah on a close 2-1 decision in the third elimination debate. In extemporaneous speaking, Aaron Lutkowitz reached the quarterfinal round. Congratulations to these seniors on a fine debate career on the Hill. Haynes, Lutkowtiz and Mehta will attend Dartmouth College, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Stanford University, respectively, in the fall.
