Fathers Club Service Project May 7

MBA is having a school wide service project sponsored by the The Father's Club - Connections on May 7 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.  The project will  involve  the cleanup of  Brown's Creek stream.  The meeting location will be near the Brown's Creek overpass on Murfreesboro Road. 

 

Please note the stream has serious trash and debris still remaining from the flood.  This stream being in a heavily commercialized area, there are significant accumulations of pallets and construction materials that will be removed.  We will have assistance on site to help us remove the large debris.

 

For you trout fishermen out there, bring your waders: there is a lot of trash within the stream we can remove in addition to the stuff on the banks.

 

We hope you will join us.  For your information, Brown’s Creek is likely the most impacted stream in Davidson County.  This work will result in immediate improvement to the water quality of this urban stream.
