Quizbusters Victorious

On Saturday, 11 Feb 2012, four members of our Roll Red Scholars club faced-off against Mt. Juliet Christian Academy in a Quarterfinal round match-up on Westfield Insurance/CW 58's QuizBusters. The team of Seniors Joe Scherrer (capt.), Will Stewart, Karthik Sastry, and Sophomore Kalyan Chadalavada, dominated from the start building a 100 to 20 lead after the first round. The team was on fire in the second round with the Big Red rolling to an insurmountable 400 to 40 lead. With only 200 points available in the final round, and a valiant 180 point effort by MJCS, MBA coasted home to a 510 to 220 victory.
 

This win advances MBA to the semi-finals where they will take on one of the other top four teams: USN, Hume-Fogg, or Ezell-Harding. This victory also brings with it a minimum prize of $1500 for the school, and puts us one step closer to the championship.
