MBA Earns Hard Fought Road Victory over Father Ryan

Coming off their first loss of the season at Ensworth, the Big Red was able to rally in the second half to earn a 20-17 victory over Father Ryan. Following an unforced turnover on the second offensive play of the game for MBA, Ryan was able to capitalize on a short field to take an early 7-0 after the first quarter. MBA was able to respond in the second quarter as quarterback Cole Euverard found fullback TJ Jefferson in the front of the endzone to knot the score at 7 before halftime.
In the second half, the Big Red offense answered two Irish scores as they put the game into the hands of their experienced senior offensive line and junior running backs Derrick Tusie and Michael Lacey who each rushed for a score. The Big Red defense was able to hold the strong Irish rushing attack to 30 yards in the game and was able to shut down the pass on the final drive as MBA extended their winning streak over Ryan to 20 games.
MBA will be take a 7-1 record into the off week and will travel to Pope John Paul II on October 25th.
