Latin Students Compete and Serve

On Saturday, Dec. 7, several Latin students braved the cold to attend an invitational certamen (similar to quiz bowl and Jeopardy) event hosted by the University School of Nashville. Joining teams from USN, Hume-Fogg, MLK, Meigs, FRA, and a few other schools, MBA competed in all three levels (Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced). The Advanced A team of Tarun Mallipeddi, Michael Milam, and John Triplett won that division. When all rounds were completed the MBA students joined their fellow student competitors in a service project to assemble gift bags for children at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital. A good time was had by all!
