ABC’s of Science Fun: MBA Summer Science Experience is a summer staple since 1999. The camp has generated numerous feeder camps on campus in the past decade! MBA Summer Science was STEM before it became a buzzword! We ARE model building, hands on, problem-solving and team building science basics which produce and foster a life-long love of science, exposing the architects of the future to systems that work. We combine all of this with cutting-edge fun!
NEW this year are Earth’s Magnetosphere investigation and Pond Scum, to accompany Straw Rocket golf, Water and Solid Fuel Rockets, Alternative Energy Systems, Filtration and Solar Stills, culminating with our Robotic Arm builds and, camper favorite, CO2 Car Design, Build and Race. NEW THIS YEAR: Drone Construction and flight! We’ll also be outside with the school garden (hot peppers?), insect studies and some geocaching to learn coordinates systems. Open to boys and girls, the camp meets from 8 am to noon, daily. Selected MBA science student aides ensure an instructor to camper ratio of 1 to 6. Snacks are provided. Camp limited to 18 students.
