MBA QUARTET EARNS PRESTIGIOUS NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has recognized four MBA students as National Merit $2500 Scholarship winners for 2025. Chosen on the basis of their abilities, skills, and accomplishments—with National Merit Finalist status as a prerequisite—Sayan Dalai, Jake Dorfman, Will Glover, and Claiborne Tompkins have each received this prestigious honor.
Winners are selected from across the country by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors. Of the approximately 1.5 million program entrants who take the PSAT/NMSQT, only 15,000 achieve Finalist status—and just 2,500 are ultimately awarded this top distinction and a one-time $2,500 scholarship.
Sayan, who served as this year’s student-body president and captain of the soccer team, will attend the University of Chicago. Jake, a member of the student council, tennis team and the Head of School Singers, will enroll at Vanderbilt University. Will, a wrestler for the Big Red and an AP Art History and Chinese scholar, has chosen the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Claiborne, a multi-sport athlete and fellow member of the Head of School Singers, will begin at Yale University this fall.
