While the 7th graders were swinging on the ropes at Campy Laney, the 8th grade members of the JS tennis team were on the ropes against an undefeated and excellent Woodland Middle School team. Two of our doubles team managed to win their matches - Sam Hamm and Will Braddy clawed their way back after being down 2-6 to win 9-7 earning them the gameday balls. Andrew Smith and Max Schlosser had a solid 8-4 win.
All our other lines lost in very close matches, two in tie breakers.
Many thanks to Mike A and Mike M for their suport of our players this afternoon, and thanks to the Reynolds family for the snacks.
We have plenty to practice and prepare for as we head into the final stretch of our season - a match against USN next Wednesday and the HVAC tournament next Friday.
