JS Soccer defeats BGA 8-0

In their second game of the season, the JS soccer team hosted BGA.  Coming out ready to play, the Big Red were almost too eager to score in the first half, forcing passes and seeing the direct run rather than the cerebral move that might outwit the opponent.  The Reds' physical game did result in a 2-0 lead at the break, but the boys were capable of more.

 

In the second half, the Big Red showed their potential, stringing together long spells of possession, playing passing combinations as one without losing their physical edge.  In the end, Miller Ruehling scored the opener and game winner, Jude Andrews showed his composure and technical skils with two nicely taken goals, while Scott Martin, Luke Sullivan, Jess Judy, Hank Roper, and Powell Byram bagged a goal each.
