On a cold and rainy night, both teams served up an entertaining game. The two teams adapted well to the conditions with neat passing soccer. With both teams having good chances in the first half, neither could score a break through. However, early in the second half, a long free kick was pumped into the MBA box, and a Franklin player rose to head past the MBA goalie, Alex Blanton. We responded well and put Franklin to the test for the rest of the game. Our hard work was rewarded when Houston Oldham scored a long range try after receiving a pass from Jonathan Haynes. Strong performances from Alex Blanton, Houston Oldham, Max Jarrell, and Michael Nunan helped the Big Red fight a strong and fast Franklin team.
