MBA lose out in thriller

MBA lost 3:2 to JPII in a thrilling game. Both teams played the ball on the ground which led to a nice style of play. JPII opened the scoring early on but MBA came storming back and Houston Oldham scored a beautiful goal when he broke from midfield to finish to the net. Both teams had chances to score but it wasn't until early in the second half when Houston Oldham again broke from midfield taking a beautiful back heel from Matt Wieck and cooly side footing past the keeper. With both teams creating chances, Brandon Dockery who had an excellent game missed a great chance to put MBA 3:1 up. However with twelve minutes remaining JPII tied the game up somewhat against the run or play. Worse was to follow with four minutes remaining JPII got the winning goal to break a strong resistence from MBA. IN a great team effort, Keeper Alex Blanton made several important saves, defenders Max Jarrell and Michael Nunan excelled in defense. Houston Oldham, Brandon Dockery showed with big performances in midfield.
