Big Red defeat BGA 2:0

MBA defeated BGA 2-0 in a keenly contested game played in very windy conditions which made it difficult for good soccer. The boys played against the wind in the first half and limited BGA to one scoring chance which was superbly saved by Alex Blanton. MBA took over the game in the second half with Andrew Fletcher, Houston Oldham and Matt Wieck all going close to breakng the deadlock. However with seven minutes remaining Andrew Fletcher scored a stunning goal when he curled home from outside the box. The game was put out of BGA's reach when Matt Wieck ghosted in at the near post to score following an assist from Alec Martin. In a strong big red team performance Michael Nunan, Turner Henderson, Matt Wieck, Andrew Fletcher and Ryan Shephard stood out.
