MBA Crew Ranks 4th & 5th in the SE Region

The MBA Crew team had an outstanding finish to the season! Seniors, Chris Habermann, Paul Moore, Ryan Owen, Robert Papel, Parrish Preston and Ryan Flack raced their last races for the Big Red.  They are the founding fathers of the 4 year program.

The team finished the day strong in 4th for the 2nd Varsity 4+ and 5th for the 1st Varsity 8+ in the grand finals.  Ranking MBA in these events 4th and 5th in the SE region.  The MBA boats fought hard and raced their best races both in technique and power.  The SE Region now knows who Montgomery Bell Academy is and that the team is gaining speed.  For the first time in team history the team made the grand finals with Varsity crews.  Although the grand final boats finished short of qualifying  for nationals they broke into the top tier of boats in the region. With growth in speed and numbers the team is poised to close the gap in the years to come.
