The JS Tennis team welcomed Grace Christian Academy to AAA HVAC play with a 4-1 defeat on their home courts at the Franklin Rec Center.  Dominating at #1 singles for the Big Red was Bruce Li with an 8-1 victory against a fiery opponent.  Newly elected team captain Charlie Nord had nerves of steel on crucial point after crucial point, downing his formidable opponent 8-5 at #2 singles, which also earned him the man of the match honors.

Coach Scholer's doubles teams went 4-0 on the day.  Both HVAC doubles teams of Max Schlosser / Alex Angus and Chris Topping / Andrew Smith sealed the team victory with 8-1 and 8-4 victories respectively.  Thomas Ward/Leo Cox and Blake Kitchin/Adrian Hufford also dispatched their opponents with ease. The team thanks the Hufford family for bringing snacks, and the Li family for bringing out Bubbles the dog to cheer on the team to victory in Franklin!

The team returns to HVAC play again tomorrow at home vs. Ensworth.
