MBA-Knox Webb Stopped By Rain After Two Hours

MBA faced off against Webb School of Knoxville on Thursday afternoon. MBA had a 2-1 edge going into singles after an 8-0 victory from Anson Anderson and Kinton Lewis at 3 doubles, an 8-5 loss at 2 doubles, and a 9-8 (5) victory from Hugh Graham and Baylor Sai at 1 doubles. After just over an hour of singles play, rain started pouring. Since this was a non-region match and it was unlikely the teams would be able to continue play for hours, the coaches decided to stop the match. It is unfortunate that the singles matches could not be finished, but it was still a good chance for MBA to get a couple hours of playing in before competing in the 2019 DecoTurf High School Team Tennis Championships on Friday and Saturday. MBA's first match of the tournament will be at 2 PM on Friday at Baylor School against the winner of the match between Brookwood of Georgia and defending Missouri Class 2 State Champion Rock Bridge.
