MBA Edges Baylor in Critical Region Match

MBA hosted Baylor in a rematch of the 2017 and 2018 state championships on Friday afternoon. Baylor struck first with an 8-6 victory at 1-doubles, but Anson Anderson and Sims Lance responded with an 8-6 victory of their own at 3-doubles and then Kinton Lewis and Hugh Graham clinched the doubles point for MBA with an 8-6 victory at 2-doubles. All singles matches were competitive, but MBA got victories from Baylor Sai at 1-singles 6-3, 7-6(7), from Richard Cummins at 2-singles 6-2, 6-4, from Hugh Graham at 3-singles 6-2, 6-4, and from Sims Lance at 6-singles 6-3, 7-6(8). MBA improves to 2-0 in region with the 5-2 victory with two more region matches next week, home against BA on Monday and at McCallie on Thursday.
