MBA unable to overcome strong Ensworth team

The junior school tennis team faced Ensworth for the second time this season at Harpeth Hall on Tuesday afternoon. On another baking hot day, the attitude and effort was strong on all courts, but Ensworth once again prevailed. Ethan, Dawson, and Porter all played better than their ultimate scores suggested, but the depth of Ensworth's lineup saw them take a 3-0 lead after the singles were done. Both the #1 doubles (James & Billy) and the #2 doubles (Elliott & Jackson) fought hard and had opportunities where a couple of points going the other way might have put them over the top, but ultimately each ended up on the wrong side of an 8-6 scoreline. The rest of the squad provided vocal and positive support and there were some impressive exhibition match wins for Benton Brown and Mecho & Owen Willers. We will face Ensworth again at the HVAC finals next Friday.
