JS Tennis wins HVAC Championship

 

The overall results made the contest look deceptively comfortable - MBA took 4 out of the 5 titles and 9 of the 15 possible team points. However, the margins were exceedingly fine in all directions - had just 2 more games at #1 singles gone our way, we would have swept all 5 lines: had just 3 more games at #1 and #2 doubles gone Ensworth's way, we would have been runners-up overall. With the number of games that went to deuce in these matches, any of these alternative outcomes could easily have happened.

 

Every player on the team contributed at least 1 point to the team score, and everyone - starting lineup and supporting cast alike - deserves credit for their sportsmanship and enthusiasm. Our season will conclude with an invitational contest against McCallie on Monday at Sewanee as we look to post an undefeated season.
