MBA advances to HVAC final

Grace Christian jumped out to a 1-0 lead off of a penalty call 90 seconds into the game after creating a turnover deep in the Big Red's defensive third.  However, the boys regained their composure, made improved decisions, matched the intensity of the opponent, and managed to equal the score at 1-1 going into the half.

Despite not playing their best, the Big Red were still in the match.

Rejuvenated and with a sense of purpose, MBA passed and moved more selflessly, keeping the ball on the ground to better dictate the flow of the game.  In their defensive third, despite chance after chance being created against them, a resolute Grace Christian would not surrender a goal... Until Luca Stephan lined up a free kick from just outside the area with about 15 minutes remaining and hit the back of the net.

From there on, the Big Red continued to play well, but not without imperative, resolute defending of Stone Trainer and Eliot Chamberlain.

In a rematch of programs that competed in last Spring's State Championship game, MBA will take on CPA at 5pm at home on Wednesday.
