Varsity basketball dropped a hotly contested game 50-44 at McCallie today. Despite the loss, it was an encouraging day in many ways. Still missing a few contributors, and with leading scorer Collin O'Neal literally playing one-handed while trying to protect a broken finger, the group still put themselves in position to win today on the road against a quality opponent. We trailed 13-9 after one, were tied 28 at the half, and led by one entering the fourth. Nick Brunetti (18) and Kevin Die' (12) led the scoring. This group is showing good potential, and we hope over the next couple of weeks to be healthy enough to fully realize the potential. Next up the group will be participating in the Beech High School Holiday tournament Wednesday-Friday. Roll Red!
