MBA Performs Well at Great 8

Several MBA track & field athletes competed at the Great 8 Invitational last evening at FRA. "Since 2000, the Great 8 Invitational has seen the best eight high school athletes from middle Tennessee, across the various classifications, in each event duke it out. There is only one section of each event." The meet is highly competitive, and as the results show, many athletes set PRs, TN Top 10s, and even US Top 10s (two girls ran 1600m times last night that put them at #3 and #9 in the country).

 

Pole Vault: Jack Perry (1st, 16-0) [tied his PR]

*2nd place was 14-6, for reference. Jack's vault height has him at #1 in TN and #38 in the country.

Long Jump: Trey Polley (5th, 22-2.25) [PR]

*#14 in TN; Trey was the only freshman in the field

 

High Jump: Brooklyn Davis (4th, 6-2)

*his 6-4 jump at Doug Hall is #11 in TN

 

1600m: Samuel Trumble (2nd, 4:14.04)

*TN Top 10 time; his 4:13.35 at Nashville City is #4 in TN

 

800m: Samuel Trumble (6th, 1:55.54)

*TN Top 25 time; his 1:55.25 at Nashville City is #14 in TN (school record is 1:55.03)
