MBA has added ten new faculty and staff members for the 2011-12 school year.
Chris Chauvin graduated from Father Ryan in 2002 and from Johns Hopkins in 2007 where he received a BA in Natural Science. Prior to MBA he taught science and coached football at BGA. He plans to work with athletics, service, and academic assistance.
Alex Dean graduated from MBA in 1993 and recently earned a BA from Belmont University. He has worked with the MBA Lacrosse program in the past and will serve as a coach this year. In addition, Alex will be the new Director of Alumni Relations. He has three daughters, Taylor, Maddie, and Paise.
Rob Dougherty graduated from the University of Texas with a BA in German, MTSU with an MAT in German Studies, and is a Ph.D. candidate in German studies at Penn St. He taught German at both MTSU and Penn St. At MBA, he will teach German, coach ultimate frisbee, and work with the German Club. Rob and his wife, Holley, have two children, Juliana and Maxwell.
Marty Euverard received a BS in social sciences at MTSU and an MEd at Tusculum College. Last year he coached football and taught at BGA. Prior to BGA, Euverard had coaching stints at Jefferson County High, Oakland, Clarksville, and Father Ryan. Marty will teach history, serve as MBA's new head football coach, and work with FCA. He and his wife, Holly, have three children, Megan, Jessica, and Cole.
Matt Hutton earned a BA in English/Religion from the University of Vermont and an MTS in Theology/Literature from Harvard University. Prior to MBA, Matt taught English at Ravenwood High School. Hutton will teach English and work with The Archives and The Bell Ringer. He is married to Daisy and they have two sons, Leo and Silas.
Angela Klausner received a BAE and MA in Library Information Science from the University of Mississippi. She has most recently worked as the Head Librarian at BGA. She has also worked at the Redondo Beach, California Public Library and the Arlington Texas Public Library. Angela will be MBA's new Head Librarian. She is married to MBA English teacher Dick Klausner and has two children and two grandchildren.
Christopher Lundgren graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Biology, Yale Divinity School with an MA in Divinity and the University of Virginia with an MA in History. He previously taught at Poly Prep Country Day, St. Anne's-Belfield School and the University of Virginia. At MBA, Chris will teach history, work with Model UN, coach soccer, and work with service. He and his wife Clare Eng have a six month old baby named Shoshanna.
Lee Webb earned a BA in Government from the University of Virginia. Webb recently served in the US Army in Iraq as a Platoon Leader. He will work in the Main Office, Admissions, academics, riflery, baseball, and service. Lee will marry Molly White in October.
Ying Zhang received a BA in English and an MA in American Literature from Shandong University and an MA in Political Science from Vanderbilt, where she also taught Chinese. Ying will teach Chinese, work with the Asian Culture Club, and serve as an 11th grade advisor. Zang is married to Ning Wang and they have a daughter, Jiashu.
Gretchen Zimmerman graduated from Bowdoin College with a BA in Spanish/History and earned a Ph.D. in Spanish at Vanderbilt, where she also taught. At MBA, she will teach Spanish and work with the yearbook and Hispanic Achievers. She is married to MBA alumnus Philip Zimmerman ('97)
