MBA Wins 15th State Football Championship
The MBA Big Red football team captured the 2014 TSSAA Division II-AA State Championship with a 10-7 win over the Ensworth Tigers on Thursday night. The win was the school's 7th Division II championship and 15th overall. MBA leads all Division II schools with overall number of state titles.
Mr. Football winner Cole Euverard was named the Offensive MVP of the game after throwing the lone passing TD to Ty Chandler. Senior Luke Bullock was named the Defensive MVP after finishing with 3 tackles, one interception, and one fumble recovery.
The two teams had a hard-fought low scoring battle after combining for 94 points in the regular season.
The final coaches luncheon of the season will be held December 16 in the dining hall. All details will be announced soon. There will not be a luncheon this week.
